In the X Window System, xdvi allows you to view DVI files, page through documents, zoom in, and perform many other word processor preview functions. To view DVI files, at the Unix prompt, enter:

  xdvi file.dvi

In the above example, replace file.dvi with the name of your file.

For more information about xdvi, at the Unix prompt, enter:

  man xdvi

To convert a file named file.dvi to PostScript and view it using GhostScript, at the Unix prompt, enter:

  is file.ps
