ARCHIVED: Add a podcast media file to an IU Blogs post

In IU Blogs, to add a podcast media file to a blog post using the podcast WordPress plug-in:

  1. Enable the podcast plug-in: From the Dashboard, click Plugins on the left-hand menu. In the search box, type Podcast. This should show the podcast plug-in. Click the Activate button.
  2. Once the plug-in has been activated, click Settings on the left-hand menu and choose Podcasting. This allows you to customize the way the media player shows up in the blog post.
  3. Compose your blog post and click the Add Media button above the post content. This allows you to upload the file to blogs.iu.edu and include it in your post. You can also link directly to a file hosted on another website by adding the following tag in your post (replace the URL with the URL of your media file): 
    [audio mp3="http://podcast.iu.edu/upload/UITS/21639c51-7e7e-440f-aa18-b7ad05fe0e53/45 The Intimidator.mp3"][/audio]
  4. Once you publish your post, you will see a media player in place of the above media file or the tag.
