About expired certificates for digitally signed mail

Note:

Due to enhanced security features in Exchange Online, you should no longer use digital signatures at IU. Follow the appropriate instructions to remove your certificates.

Once your certificate expires, all old sent mail will display a message saying, "There is a problem with this digital certificate" to indicate the certificate is expired (some mail clients may also display a visual indicator, such as a red line); however, all old mail will still be readable by all parties.
