Overview

The Lilly Library Request System allows you to register and place requests electronically through IUCAT and Archives Online for Lilly Library materials.

Use the Lilly Library Request System

Features

  • Make reservations to use materials in the Reading Room.
  • Access to all of your current, past, and saved requests.
  • Professors can collaborate with librarians to create an online list of materials to use while teaching classes.

Requesting items

  • Search IUCAT, and look for the Lilly Library: Request This button on Lilly Library records.
  • Find manuscript materials in IU's Archives Online, and look for the Request link in the side menu.
  • Use the manual request form to request print and manuscript materials not listed online.

Access the system

IU-affiliated users

  • Initial registration: Create an account by accessing the Lilly Library Request System directly or via the Lilly Library home page. From there, select Login or Register from the IU Users box. This will take you through IU Login and allow you to register for an account.
  • Log in: After registering, select Login or Register from the IU Users box to access your account and place requests.

    Log in with your IU username and passphrase.

Non-affiliates

  • Initial registration: Create an account by accessing the Lilly Library Request System directly or via the Lilly Library home page. From there, select Login or Register from the Non-IU Users box. This will take you to a login page. Select the First Time Users link, and register for an account.
  • Log in: After registering, select Login or Register from the Non-IU Users box to access your account and place requests.
