At IU Bloomington and IUPUI, where can I print oversized items?

A plotter with graphics-quality output is best for printing photographic images, detailed maps from geographic information systems (GIS) or remote sensing applications, and other highly detailed visual output.

Note:
  • Document Services offers a wide range of printing options, including color and black-and-white, and standard and poster sizes.
  • Before releasing a color print job, you should notify the consultant on duty to ensure the plotter is ready to receive it.
  • For cost details, see About printing allotments and credits.

IU Bloomington

The Wells Library has a large-format plotter (for prints up to 36" wide) on the fourth floor. The plotter can print on matte or satin paper.

To print to a plotter, select Plotter.

IUPUI

At IUPUI, you can find a plotter in Herron 185 (Eskenazi Hall), Cavanaugh 008B, and ICTC 131G.

To print to the plotter from Herron 185, send the print job to the HR 185 Epson 7900 queue. From CA 008C, send your output to CA008B_Plotter. From IT 131G, send your output to Plotter1. To cut off the print when finished, press the scissors button.

For immediate assistance with the plotter, call 317-274-0779.
