Indiana University and Dell have partnered to offer computers through the Faculty Notebook Computer Program. The program has 268 Dell Latitude D610 notebook computers to distribute across the IU campuses, except IPFW. Each computer cost $1382; qualified applicants who receive their dean's approval will pay $691 (50% of the cost). In addition, acceptance of a computer through this program includes an agreement to provide lifecycle funding for the computer.

IU does not have a similar partnership with Apple at this time, therefore, Macintosh computers are not currently available through the Faculty Notebook Computer Program.
