In Oncourse Tests & Surveys, how do I export assessments?

Important:
Oncourse was retired and placed in read-only mode on August 31, 2016. No fall 2016 courses will be taught in Oncourse; find your courses in Canvas. For details about transitioning Oncourse activities to Canvas and other platforms and preserving your Oncourse content, see About the Oncourse retirement.
Note:
To complete these procedures, you must be assigned a role having the necessary permissions. If you're not sure what your role is, see the "Role" column in the Roster tool. For permissions, see What can I do in read-only Oncourse?

You can export an assessment for use in another IMS QTI-compatible application. For more on the IMS QTI specification, see the IMS Global Learning Consortium.

To export an assessment from Tests & Surveys:

  1. In the menubar of the relevant site, click Tests & Surveys.
  2. On the "Assessments" page, under "Unpublished Assessments", next to the title of the assessment you want to export, click --Select Action, and then click Export.
  3. Next to "Choose export type:", select either QTI v 1.2 or Content Packaging, and click Export. You'll be prompted to open or save the export file.

If you're going to import this file into a Canvas site, select the Content Packaging option. For more, see How do I import Quizzes from QTI packages?
