ARCHIVED: In Oncourse, why can't I see my site?

This content has been archived, and is no longer maintained by Indiana University. Resources linked from this page may no longer be available or reliable.
Important:
Oncourse is retired. For details, see About the Oncourse retirement.

You might not see your site displayed as a tab if you have more sites than can be displayed across the top; click More Sites to access additional sites. If your site is not visible either as a tab or from the drop-down list, check the following possible causes.

You can see some sites but not others

  • If you have just added the course, see ARCHIVED: If I change my class schedule, when will my new courses appear in Oncourse?
  • If you are an instructor for the course but cannot access the course site, check the Faculty Center for your classes. If you don't see your class in the Faculty Center, you or your departmental scheduling officer should contact the registrar's office to make sure you are listed as the faculty of record. Once your status is updated with the registrar's office, it may take 8-12 hours for you to be added to the Oncourse site.
  • Your instructor or the site owner may have unpublished the course site in order to prepare for the upcoming semester or to make major changes.
  • When customizing your tabs, you may have accidentally hidden one of your sites; see ARCHIVED: Showing, hiding, and ordering sites.
  • Course sites from summer 2010 and earlier were archived after eight semesters; however, course sites from fall 2010 and later will remain available indefinitely.
