Access Microsoft eLearning courses at IU

On October 1, 2018, Microsoft retired its former eLearning environment and began redirecting users to its new eLearning environment. Any courses, transcripts, or certificates you had in the former eLearning environment are no longer available.

As part of Indiana University's software agreement with Microsoft, students, faculty, and staff can take free, web-based, self-paced elearning courses on Microsoft software products, including Windows, Office, Project, and Visio, among others. You can earn certificates by completing courses successfully.

To access Microsoft eLearning courses at IU:

  1. Log into the IU Microsoft Office 365 website with your IU username and passphrase.
  2. At the top of your "Microsoft Office Home" page, click or tap Office 365 app launcher icon to open the Office 365 app launcher.
  3. At the bottom of the app launcher, click or tap All apps.
  4. On your "My apps" page, click or tap the Microsoft eLearning icon.
  5. If prompted:
    1. Read and accept the terms of use; select I Accept, and then click or tap Continue.
    2. Enter your profile information, and then click or tap Save (you may need to scroll down to see Save).
  6. To browse course offerings, at the top of your Online Learning home page, use the Catalog menu or search box.
