Overview

Note:
For more about NameCoach, including classroom and occupational uses, see About NameCoach at IU.

At Indiana University, students, faculty, and staff may use NameCoach to record themselves saying their names so that others may learn how to pronounce them. With NameCoach's commencement features, IU administrators can:

  • Import CSV lists of students who will be invited to record their names
  • Download name recordings in bulk
  • Customize notifications (for example, reminders to record names) and the welcome page, and more

For a complete lists of features, see Setting up NameCoach for Commencement (starting at 1:10).

For IU administrators

If you are an IU administrator and you'd like to use NameCoach for commencement services, contact the NameCoach administrators at edshelp@iu.edu to request a Name Page. In your request, include:

  • The desired event name (for example, "School Commencement 2019")
  • The date of the event (in other words, the deadline for the recordings)
  • Your desired event URL code (for example, www.name-coach.com/record/ExampleCode)
  • The names and email addresses of any individuals who will help you administrate the recording page

Once your request has been reviewed, the NameCoach administrators will create your Name Page and provide you access to customize the available settings as desired.
