Kurzweil 3000 is a tool geared toward people with any disability that makes reading or writing difficult. Its reading and writing tools allow users to listen and follow along as their reading material is read aloud. The software supports web-based and digital reading material, and scanned versions of printed material. It converts reading materials into audible files so users can listen on the go, or follow along on their laptops or via the Kurzweil web application.

  • Customizable reading rates
  • Text magnification
  • 18 languages and dialects for text-to-speech

Note:
At Indiana University, access to Kurzweil 3000 is granted by your campus disability services office. Contact the disability services office on your campus for information about arranging a course accommodation for your needs.
