Archiving a module simply makes it invisible to students. You may want to archive a module that you are not using in your current class but may use during another semester. You can easily restore an archived module.

You can archive only an entire module. You cannot archive a content section.

Archiving a module

  1. Click Author near the top of the page, and then check the box(es) next to the module(s) you want to archive.
  2. Click Archive. You will see a message confirming the archived module(s).

Restoring a module

  1. Click Author near the top of the page, and then click Restore.
  2. You will see a list of archived modules. By default, the modules are sorted by date archived.
  3. Check the box(es) next to the module(s) you want to restore.
  4. Click Restore to restore the module(s) or Cancel to cancel the action.
  5. You will see a message confirming the restored module(s). Newly restored modules are added at the bottom of the list of modules on the "Author options..." page. To reorder the modules, see ARCHIVED: Sorting and nesting modules and content sections in the Modules tool.
