The Cornell notes method provides a structured way to take notes so that you can use them more effectively for review.

• Students: To access the template, download it here.

  If you are not familiar with the method, you can enroll in the Cornell Notes course in IU Expand to learn how it works and to get some guided practice using it. You also can download the template within that course.

  If you would like to explore other note-taking systems, you can find additional examples on the Learning.IU website.

• Faculty: To add the template to your Canvas course, download the file and then upload it to your course. You then can link to it for students and provide your directions on how students should use it in your course.
