To use your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet on the IU Secure network, you need to register the device's Ethernet MAC address. See the "Registering your computer in other on-campus locations" section of Register your wired device on the IU network

If your device fails to register via dhcp.iu.edu, you may want register it manually. Obtain the MAC address, and then contact your campus Support Center so a consultant can manually register your PlayBook on the network:

  1. From the home screen, on the status bar, tap Gear icon on the PlayBook .
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. In the lower-left corner, tap Wi-Fi details icon on the PlayBook to view details about your tablet. Within those details will be a physical address, otherwise known as an Ethernet MAC address. Give this address to the Support Center consultant.
