Important:
Oncourse is retired. For details, see ARCHIVED: About the Oncourse retirement.

The CourseNetworking CN (Beta) tool in Oncourse links site participants to a corresponding course site in CourseNetworking, the academic social networking service also known as the CN.

CN members can choose to make posts visible to those in similar courses and launch joint discussions across those course sites; see ARCHIVED: Control what others see in CN Post. Courses are considered similar if the instructor of the course links them, as follows:

  1. Next to the course title, click the course settings gear, and then select Similar Course Settings.
  2. To connect your course with a specific CN course, type the CN course ID number, or search for a course by key terms. You can link to any CN course you want, although you should only do so if the connection is meaningful to your students.

To remove a course pairing, click the X in front of the course image.

  3. At the bottom of the "Similar Course Settings" window, click Save.
