Search by ISBN or ISSN in IUCAT

In both basic and advanced searches, you can search IUCAT using an ISBN (for books) or ISSN (for journals and other regularly published items).

• ISBN: Enter the number without spaces; hyphens are optional. IUCAT will find materials with both 10- and 13-digit ISBN numbers. For example, you could use any of the following:

    0345515633

    978-0-446-31078-9 

• ISSN: Enter the number with or without hyphens or spaces. For example, you could use either of the following:

    1753-0369 
  
    17530369

In the basic search, leave the filter set to All Fields; in the advanced search, you can enter the number either under "All Fields:" or under "Numbers / Identifiers:".
