Search the IU Classroom Database

The IU Classroom Database contains information about instructional spaces at Indiana University, including general-use rooms ("general inventory") and those controlled by individual departments. Anyone can search the database, but only designated individuals have permission to add, delete, and edit information in the database. To request permission to edit the database, contact the UITS Learning Spaces team.

To search the database:

  1. Go to the IU Classroom Database.
  2. To narrow your search, choose options using the available drop-downs and checkboxes.
  3. To submit your query, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Find Rooms.
  4. On the resulting page, click a room name to view photos of the room, room specifications, and support and scheduling information for the room.

Anyone can search IU's general-inventory classrooms. IU users who log in can see departmental spaces, too. You can narrow your classroom database search using:

  • Basic room information, including campus, building name, room number, seating capacity, and type of seating
  • Room amenities, including available computers, microphones, web cameras, document cameras, laptop connections, wireless presentation options, and assistive listening

If you have questions about using the IU Classroom Database, contact UITS Learning Spaces Support at cthelp@iu.edu or 812-856-2020.
