About My Learning Analytics (MyLA)

My Learning Analytics (MyLA) is a set of visualizations developed at the University of Michigan to provide students with insight into their own performance in their Canvas courses. The tool leverages data from the Unizin Data Platform (UDP) and is hosted by Unizin as a pilot available to a limited number of courses at Indiana University.

The visualizations available through MyLA include:

Resources Accessed: Provides students an aggregated view of which Canvas resources their peers are accessing most frequently
Assignment Planning: Provides students a visual insight to understand how different Canvas assignments impact their course grade
Grade Distribution: Helps students see where their course grade fits within the course grade distribution as the semester progresses
