Overview

FireForm is a business process management tool. As an administrative user of FireForm, you are responsible for adherence to Indiana University data management policies and standards. For information about these policies, visit Information Security and Policy.

IU is subject to laws and regulations that safeguard information privacy. Becoming familiar with privacy requirements will help you develop forms that meet organizational goals.

FireForm is approved to store all classifications of institutional data. You are responsible for selecting the appropriate classification and data category on form elements.

Official classifications for institutional data at IU are defined in Management of Institutional Data (DM-01). If you have questions about the classifications of institutional data at IU, see Classification levels of institutional data, use the Data Sharing and Handling (DSH) tool, or contact the appropriate Data Stewards. Configure data classification and category

To apply the data classification and data domain on a form element, make the following selections when creating the element:

Configure compliance requirements

A FireForm administrator may apply compliance requirements on forms. A compliance requirement on a form will prevent users from viewing or accessing the form’s entries until they have completed the compliance tutorial associated with the requirement.

To apply compliance requirements on a form, complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to and select the form from Tools > Forms.
  2. On the form, select Edit.
  3. Open the Form Permissions.
  4. Select any or all the requirements listed under "Compliance Checks".

Resolve compliance restrictions

To view the compliance status for a user, visit Enterprise Application Compliance. This website links to the tutorials required for completing the requirements. A user must complete the appropriate compliance tutorial to remove the filtering restriction from their entries' lists.
