Submit a print job by sending an email

Overview

Any member of the IU community with a valid and active CrimsonCard may send jobs to the University-wide secure release print queues. You may submit any supported document type to these queues by sending an email with an attachment or link.

You may release your print job(s) at any public student device. For more information on printing fees, see print pricing.

Submit your print job

  1. Attach the file you want to print to a blank email message.
  2. Send the message to IU Print:
    • BW: print@iu.edu
    • Color: printc@iu.edu
  3. You will receive an automatic response. Select the link in this message to register your email.
  4. Select the IU Login button. If prompted, log in with your IU username and passphrase.
  5. Below the black menu bar, select the Upload button.
  6. Locate and select your file. After processing, it will appear in the table.
  7. Select the file's checkbox on the left-hand side of the screen.
  8. Be sure to check your output; if needed, refer to customize and preview your file.
    Note:
    For color documents with more than a single page, Mobile Print defaults to double-sided and monochrome output. You may adjust this using the "Print options" section.
  9. Go to a convenient public printer and release the job.
