About Equidox at IU

On this page:

Overview

Equidox is a software company offering both PDF conversion services and a cloud-based solution for remediating PDFs. A limited number of licenses have been purchased for the IU community to help bring PDFs into compliance with accessibility requirements. The licenses are concurrent, which means anyone who is signed in (or forgets to sign out) is using up a license. Only so many users can use the tool at the same time.

Request access

To request access to the Equidox tool, go to the Service Portal page at go.iu.edu/itaccessibility and submit the Equidox Software request form.

Equidox security

Equidox is a shared document space. Anyone who has access to the platform can see uploaded documents. Check the data classification of your document before uploading it. Only upload documents rated as Public to Equidox for conversion.

Get help

If you encounter an issue while using Equidox, use the help feature in the tool, which appears as a floating question mark icon in the lower right. After selecting the appropriate drop-downs for your question type and providing the necessary information, you should hear from the Equidox help team within a day.

If you are unable to get assistance from the Equidox help team, email the Assistive Technology and Accessibility Center (ATAC) at atac@iu.edu.
