Trim a video in Kaltura

To trim a Kaltura video:

  1. In "My Media", click the Edit icon (looks like a small pencil) next to the entry you want to trim.
  2. Just to the right of the player, click LAUNCH EDITOR.
  3. In the bottom pane, use the Timeline to set a range (i.e., select start and end points). If you need help, see Setting a Range in the Kaltura Video Editing Tools User Guide.
  4. Click Save a Copy and confirm your choice. To overwrite the original recording, click Save instead.
  5. After some processing time, the trimmed version of your video will appear in "My Media". Processing time varies depending on the length of the video.

When you finish trimming your video, you can order new captions; see Order, download, and edit captions or transcripts in Kaltura.

For more on trimming a Kaltura video, see Trimming a Media Item in the Kaltura Video Editing Tools User Guide.
