DigitalDesk streamlines the review of results from paper Scantron forms for instructors at Indiana University Bloomington. For more, see About DigitalDesk at IU Bloomington (Retired).

In DigitalDesk, to review and edit an answer key:

  1. Go to Scanning Results: Digital Desk.
  2. Log in with your IU username and passphrase.

    This requires Two-Step Login (Duo).

    You'll see the DigitalDesk "Instructor Tools" dashboard, which displays the status of exams processed the current day, as well as messages from the system administrator.

  3. On your DigitalDesk dashboard, in the top menu bar, click Answer Keys.
  4. Make your selections in the Exam ID and Key Form drop-down menus.
  5. In the "Questions" section on the right, from the answer key list, click an item to change the key.
  6. The key and its point value display in the "Modify value item" section on the lower left. Enter new responses and review.
    Note:
    You can assign partial credit for a given answer at this point by selecting Partial Credit.
  7. Click Update, and then click Save.
  8. When prompted to confirm that you want to create or update a scoring profile for the exam, click Yes.
  9. Click Yes to rescore all exams.

In the "Questions" section, the answer key will now be updated.
