ARCHIVED: In the IUB STCs, how do I choose a printer other than the default?

The default print queue on all STC and RTC workstations (stcprt) allows you to print output on any 8.5"x11" black-and-white STC or RTC printer with a print release station. See ARCHIVED: About print release stations.

To choose a Student Technology Center (STC) print queue other than the default, see the appropriate section below.

Windows STCs

1. From the Start menu, choose IU Printer Finder.
2. Click Select a campus and choose Bloomington.
3. To select a different STC or RTC print queue, select one of the following:
   • All IUB Black and White STC and RTC Printers (the default)
   • All IUB Black and White STC and RTC Tabloid (11x17) Printers
   • All IUB STC and RTC $1 Color Printers
   • All IUB STC and RTC $2 HP5550 Color Printers

   Or, to select a partner print queue or a specialty printer location:

   1. Click Select a Printer Location, and then choose the building (or queue) you wish to print to.
   2. Click Available Printer(s) and choose a printer or view the print queue.
4. Click Add Printer; installation status will display at the bottom of the Printer Finder.
5. From the File menu, select Print.
6. From the pull-down menu next to "Printer", select the alternate print queue.

Mac OS X STCs

1. From the File menu, select Print.
2. From the pull-down menu next to "Printer", select one of the available alternate printers.
