ARCHIVED: New features in Exchange 2010 at IU

New features resulting from the ARCHIVED: Exchange 2010 server upgrade at IU include:

  • Increased disaster recovery and the capability to increase mailbox sizes in the future
  • Significant improvements to Outlook Web App (OWA), including:
    • Equal browser experience for Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome
    • Side-by-side calendar view
    • Ability to manage folder-level permissions for all folders within your mailbox
    • OCS/UniCom chat
    • Text messaging notifications for call/voice mail and calendar updates

  • In Unified Messaging, voice mail preview and improved call answering rules

Although all features noted in this Microsoft article will not be implemented at IU, you can also refer to Microsoft Exchange What's New.
