Supported ArcGIS Desktop product levels and licenses at IU

Note:

Esri has announced that ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap and its associated suite of tools, including ArcGlobe, etc.) will no longer be available through the Education Site License beginning July 1, 2024. This means that all current ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) users will need to transition to ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Online by June 30, 2024. For further details, see ArcMap Retirement in Education Programs.

UITS supports concurrent and single-use licensing for the ArcGIS Desktop Advanced product level.

You can use the UITS-managed Esri license servers to obtain a license for your local system. UITS recommends using this central license service if your system has reliable internet access and can connect to the IU domain. If you need support away from the IU network (for example, when working in the field or traveling for business), UITS staff can provide you with a local license provisioning file.
