Role: Voice, desktop communication, online meetings, distance/online education, collaboration, file storage, screen and document sharing

Description:

Microsoft Teams at IU is a collaboration tool that gives Indiana University students, faculty, staff, and external users the ability to work together and share information in a common space. Included among its features are real-time collaboration, one-on-one chat, and file sharing.

Cost: Free of charge

Adoption process:

If you are eligible to use Microsoft 365 at IU, you are eligible to use this application and its related suite of products.

Platform restrictions: Windows or macOS for full functionality; on Linux, web app only with no outbound calls

Meets UIPO/UISO guidelines: Yes

Data classification approval: All levels; however, Restricted and Critical data require that teams be designated for Secure Storage
