How do I add an ITPilot job to the Denodo Scheduler?

Note:
These instructions assume you have already published an ITPilot job to your Denodo virtual database (VDB).

If your ITPilot job downloads a file to be consumed by Denodo, you'll need to add your ITPilot job to the Denodo Scheduler. However, it's unnecessary to schedule an ITPilot job that returns a result set to a Denodo view.

On this page:

Accessing the Scheduler

To access the Denodo Scheduler:

  1. To open the stage scheduler, navigate to https://ebidvt-dev.uits.iu.edu/webadmin/denodo-scheduler-admin/login.
  2. You'll have to log in on two different pages. On the first login page, enter guest for both "Login:" and "Password:", and then click Accept.
  3. To the right of the Scheduler server, click Connect.
  4. On the second login page, enter your IU username and passphrase; be sure local authentication is unchecked.
  5. Click Accept.

Adding an ITPilot job

To add an ITPilot job to the Denodo Scheduler:

  1. Near the upper right, under the menu bar, click NEW JOB:
    Denodo Scheduler
  2. In the "Job name:" field, enter a name for the job, and in the "Job description:" field, enter a description.
  3. At the top, select the Extraction section tab.
  4. From the "Data source:" drop-down menu, select the data source with ITP in its name.
    Note:
If you don't see a data source with ITP in its name, contact EDSS using the EDSS Support Form.
  5. In the "Wrapper name:" field, enter the name of the wrapper you exported from ITPilot.
  6. At the top, select the Triggers section tab.
  7. In the "Cron expression:" field, enter the cron expression; alternatively, use the cron-like UI to specify when the extract should run. For instance, you can specify a particular minute and hour of the day, which will schedule the extract to run daily at that time.
  8. Click Save.

For assistance with ITPilot or the Denodo Scheduler, contact EDSS using the EDSS Support Form.
