In the IUIE, how do I change my DSS1PRD password?

In order to access DSS1PRD directly, you must first set or change your DSS1PRD password.

DSS password requirements

The requirements for a DSS password are different than the requirements for an IU passphrase.

Your DSS password must:

  • Contain at least six characters
  • Contain at least one letter and one digit
  • Differ from your previous password by at least three characters

Your DSS password must not:

  • Contain your username
  • Be a simple dictionary word
  • Contain any punctuation marks or spaces
  • Begin with a number

Changing your DSS password

To change your DSS password:

  1. In the IUIE, in the upper right corner, click Personalize.
  2. Scroll down to the "Administrative Information" section. To the right of "Change Oracle Password", click DSS1PRD.
    Note:
    If you have access to the test database, DSS1TST, you can set or change your DSS1TST password by clicking DSS1TST.
  3. If prompted, authenticate to CAS.
    Important:
    As of September 1, 2016, the IUIE requires Two-Step Login (Duo).
  4. Type your new DSS1PRD password, and then click Change.
