Get a MySQL database account on the IU RDC

The Indiana University Research Database Complex (RDC) supports research-related MySQL databases and data-intensive applications that require databases. The RDC is strictly devoted to supporting research, and is not an instructional, classroom environment.

To get a MySQL database account on the RDC:

  1. Create an RDC account. UITS recommends using a group account to manage your RDC database(s). For instructions, see Request IU computing accounts for groups or departments.
  2. Once your RDC account is created, use the RDC Database Account Application to request a MySQL database.

You will be notified by email when your database has been created. For instructions on how to access it, see Access your MySQL database on the RDC at IU.
