Transfer ownership of a Google at IU My Drive folder to a different account in Google at IU

To transfer ownership of a file or folder that you own to another Google at IU account:

1. Select the folder that you would like to transfer. To select multiple folders, hold Shift and click the folders you want.
2. At the top right, click Share.
3. Click Advanced.
4. To the right of the person's name, click the down arrow, and then select Is owner.
5. Click Save changes. You will now be an editor on the folder instead of an owner.

If you will no longer need access to the files, the new owner of the folder should be able to remove your access. Have the new owner open the Advanced sharing settings following the steps above, click the X beside your name, and then click Save changes.
