ARCHIVED: At IU, what is the Self-Service Passphrase Reset system?

The simplest way to reset your passphrase is to use the Self-Service Passphrase Reset system at the Passphrase Maintenance page of the Account Management Service. This system uses predefined questions and answers to verify your identity. Students, faculty, staff, and IU affiliates are eligible to use this system.

To get started, see How do I reset my IU passphrase?, or go to the Passphrase Maintenance page and click reset your passphrase. You will need to know your 10-digit University ID number to reset your passphrase.

Note: To reset your passphrase using the Self-Service Passphrase Reset system, you must have previously enrolled in the system and established your identifying questions and answers; see At IU, how do I enroll in Self-Service Passphrase Reset or change my questions?
