OS X .pkg files cannot be uploaded directly to Box
Some OS X applications are delivered in .pkg files. The .pkg file looks like a single file, but it's a package of multiple files that are extracted and installed by Apple's Installer application. Currently, Box does not support uploads for .pkg files (see Uploading iWork or .pkg files in Box Community).

Box has developed a way to upload .pkg files via Box Sync. For more, see Box's Box Sync 4.0: Mac Package Support.

Some applications let you save .pkg files as flat files, which you can easily upload to Box. Alternatively, you can right-click a .pkg file, compress it (i.e., save it as a .zip file), and then upload to Box.

Cannot open a Box Note from a folder that has been left open for 24 hours
Error message: "You are accessing an application from a link or bookmark that may be outdated or invalid."
To access the Box Note, leave the folder by at least one level, and then reopen the folder. You should then be able to open the Box Note.

Box Notes: Shared links
When generating a link using the Share button within a Box Note, you cannot change the access level from the Box Notes user interface.
You can change the access level from the folder view of the Note.

Browser limitation with large file upload

IE has a limit of 4 GB per file. These limits do not apply if using the Java (Upload Folders) uploader.

As of January 12, 2016, Microsoft has ended support for Internet Explorer versions prior to version 11, unless you are running Windows Vista SP2 or certain versions of Windows Server; for a complete list of exceptions, see Microsoft Support Lifecycle. UITS strongly recommends that you upgrade to a new operating system if your current system does not support Internet Explorer 11 and is not on Microsoft's list of exceptions.

No time estimate exists for resolving the issue.

File creation date
Box overwrites the original file creation date when you upload a file.
Box has corrected this through most entry points. Details at Understanding Box File Timestamps.

Drag and drop folders
Users can drag and drop single files into Box via any supported browser. Drag and drop of entire folders only works with the Chrome browser.
Users of other browsers can use the bulk upload feature under the Upload menu. For documentation, see Uploading Files and Folders using the File Browser.
