At IU, how do I connect to my Exchange account with BlackBerry 10?

Note:
Students who are admitted but not yet enrolled can only open web pages on the IU Secure network. Other Internet services, e.g., email or chat clients, gaming services, etc., will not work until you have enrolled status.

To configure your BlackBerry 10 device to connect to your Indiana University Exchange account:

  1. From the "Home" screen, tap Setup.
  2. Under "Get Connected", tap Accounts. If you have an existing account already added, tap Add Account.
  3. At the bottom of the screen, tap Advanced.
  4. Tap Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, and then for:
    • Description: Enter IU.
    • Domain: Enter ads.iu.edu.
    • Username: Enter your IU username.
    • Email Address: Enter the primary email address for your IU Exchange account (e.g., username@iu.edu).
    • Password: Enter your IU passphrase.
    • Server address: Enter eas.exchange.iu.edu.
    • Port: Enter 443.

Leave all other settings at their default values.

  5. In the upper-right corner, tap Next.
  6. Verify all sync settings for email, contacts, calendar, tasks, and memos.
  7. Tap Done.

To set default accounts for email and event invitations:

  1. At the bottom of the "Accounts" screen, tap Set Defaults.
  2. From the drop-down menus, select the default email addresses you want to use for sending email and event invitations.
Note:
IU allows Exchange partnerships with up to 10 mobile devices. If you experience issues setting up an Exchange account on your mobile device, you may want to verify how many devices you have partnered with Exchange; see In Outlook Web App, how can I manage my Exchange ActiveSync device?
