Before you begin

Important:

IU's Box cloud storage service was retired on May 10, 2021. For more, see the IU Box retirement FAQ. For information about cloud storage options available at IU, see Storage @ IU.

  • For an introduction, see About Box at IU.
  • If you have not already done so, be sure to read ARCHIVED: Box acceptable use responsibilities to review your responsibilities as an enterprise Box user. Use of the service indicates acceptance of the stated terms.

  • If you already have a free personal Box account, or for more about the differences between the free and IU enterprise Box services, see ARCHIVED: Compare IU and personal (non-IU) Box accounts.

    Box accounts created with an email address in any of the following domains will be IU enterprise Box accounts:

    • iu.edu
    • indiana.edu
    • iupui.edu
    • iuk.edu
    • iun.edu
    • iusb.edu
    • iue.edu
    • iupuc.edu
    • ius.edu
    • cs.indiana.edu
    • cs.iupui.edu
    • math.iupui.edu
    • incntre.iu.edu
    • regenstrief.org
    • acui.org
  • If you plan on using desktop sync, be aware of the volume of files you are uploading. For most users who upload files of a moderate number or size, the web interface is sufficient.

Create your IU Box account

Your Box account will be created automatically the first time you log into Box at IU.
