ARCHIVED: Change email notification settings in CN Post

This content has been archived, and is no longer maintained by Indiana University. Information here may no longer be accurate, and links may no longer be available or reliable.
Important:

Indiana University's contract with CourseNetworking (CN Post) ended on December 31, 2023, and the CN Post tool has been removed from Canvas. UITS recommends using InScribe 2.0 as a replacement for the social, peer-to-peer discussion aspects of CN Post. For a list of alternative ePortfolio platforms, see ePortfolio software options.

CourseNetworking provides lifelong access to ePortfolios you've already created; you can log into CN to access them. For issues accessing existing ePortfolios in CourseNetworking, contact help@coursenetworking.com.

Note:
Email notifications from CN Post are entirely separate from email notifications you get from Canvas. For Canvas email notification settings, see Default notification settings in Canvas.

CN Post, sometimes referred to as CourseNetworking, sends notifications to the email address listed as your primary email (in most cases, your Indiana University email address) when certain activities occur in your courses. To change your primary email address, edit your profile.

To change the frequency of email notifications:

  1. In CN Post, in the upper left, click the more options icon ( The more options icon in CN Post ).
  2. Select Email Notification.
  3. For each event listed, choose Immediately, Every 4 Hrs, Daily, Weekly, or Never.
  4. At the bottom of the screen, click Save all.
