Manage custom AdRx groups in the Student Appointment Scheduler

On this page:

Overview

In the Advising Records (AdRx) Student Appointment Scheduler (SAS), you can group specific teammates together so that only their calendars display in team view. For example, an advising office may wish to create a custom group comprised of people who advise on certain topics (for example, COLL History) or have an advising specialty (such as resume review).

When you set up a new custom group or edit an existing one, you can configure it to allow team drop-in appointments to be made for that group's members; see Manage team drop-in groups and team drop-in slots in the Student Appointment Scheduler.

Access custom groups

Groups that have been created in your AdRx unit are available for selection from the "Custom Groups" drop-down menu in the left pane of the main team calendar view. All users within your AdRx unit can access these groups.

To return to the main team calendar view, choose None Selected from the "Custom Groups" menu.

Create custom groups

  1. From the left pane of the team calendar view, select Manage Custom Groups.
  2. From the "Manage custom groups" page, choose Create Custom Group.
  3. In the "Name of Custom Group" field, enter a name.
  4. If desired, enter a brief description.
  5. To add individuals from the list of team members within your AdRx unit, select the + (plus sign) next to their name, or type a few letters of their name in the search field and press Enter.
  6. When you are finished, select Save. You'll see a confirmation message.
  7. To return to the main team calendar view, in the upper left, select Calendar.

The group is now available from the "Custom Groups" menu.

Manage custom groups

Anyone within a given AdRx unit can manage custom groups that they or their teammates created.

  1. From the team calendar view, select Manage Custom Groups.
  2. Select the arrow to the right of a custom group name/description to display its properties menu.
  3. Do either of the following:
    • Choose Edit to change the name, description, or group membership.
    • Choose Delete to remove the custom group from SAS.

You'll see a confirmation of the action.

  4. When you are finished, in the upper left select Calendar to return to the main team calendar view.
