Outlook Web Access

A simple way to access your IU Exchange account from home is to use the Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) interface. You can access this interface using your web browser, and you are not required to have Outlook installed on your computer.

To access your IU Bloomington or IUPUI Exchange account via OWA, visit:

  https://www.exchange.iu.edu/

For more information about OWA at IUB and IUPUI, see ARCHIVED: Other than Outlook, how can I check my Exchange mailbox?

Note: Outlook Web Access (OWA) is a secure site with two distinct interfaces, depending on which browser you use. For details, see ARCHIVED: In Outlook Web App (OWA), what are the "Premium" and "Light" interfaces?

Outlook

Note: In Outlook 2003 or earlier, or with a connection to Indiana University via an outside Internet service provider (ISP) with handheld synchronization software, you must establish a VPN connection before connecting to your Exchange mailbox. See About the IU VPN and ARCHIVED: At IU, using an outside ISP, why can't I connect to my Exchange account with Outlook or BlackBerry Desktop Manager?

If you have Outlook installed on your computer, you can use it to access your IU Exchange account from home. To configure Outlook to access your IU Exchange account, see ARCHIVED: Set up Outlook for Windows to access your IU Exchange account or ARCHIVED: At IU, in Outlook 2003, how do I access my Exchange mailbox?
