Default storage space allotments for UITS accounts
Following are the default storage space allotments for various UITS accounts provided as baseline services to the Indiana University community. For information about storage allotments on UITS Research Technologies systems, see Available access to allocated and short-term storage capacity on IU's research systems.
Depending on the account and your circumstances, you may be able to request an increase above the default allotment (see individual account entries for instructions). However, only the account owner can submit such a request. Your request must include the IU username associated with the account, the name of the system, and the amount of additional storage space you need.
- Shared storage in Google is available only as an option for departments that wish to pay for continued storage in Google.
- Due to limits to IU's storage footprint in the Google platform, all individual Google My Drives now have a 5 GB quota.
